[SPLメモ] 宇宙持続可能性（Space Sustainability）は宇宙の利用における重要キーワードとなっており、上述のサミットのほか、欧州宇宙法研究センター（ESCL）のサマーコースのテーマともなっている。

[SPLメモ] 近年のサウジアラビアの動向は、今回の協定だけでなく、一昨年のArtemis Accords署名や昨年の月協定の脱退との関係で注目が集まっている。月協定は月面の資源開発につき「早い者勝ち」を抑制する条項（11条各項）を備えており、アメリカの宇宙法政策との相性の悪さが指摘されていた。ここ数年の動きは宇宙開発分野におけるアメリカへの接近という流れの中で理解すべきである。

ウズベキスタン上院、宇宙条約への加入を検討

[SPLメモ] ウズベキスタンは2022年に国連の宇宙空間平和利用委員会（COPUOS）に加入し、翌年には宇宙法を支援分野の一つとして掲げる法学研究センターをトルコと共同で設置、今年のCOUOS本会議では国内宇宙法の制定と宇宙条約への加入の国会審議が最終段階にある旨の声明を発している。
日米豪印外相会合が開催

[SPLメモ] 7月29日、日と訪日中の米豪印の外相が外相会合を行い、共同声明を発した。共同声明は「自由で開かれたインド太平洋」の実現に向けた確固たるコミットメントを確認するものである。声明の内容は多岐にわたるが、宇宙活動分野では宇宙活動に関する国際協力、透明性促進・信頼醸成、宇宙条約、特に大量破壊兵器の配置禁止に関する宇宙条約4条の遵守が訴えられた。

[SPLメモ] 2024年7月、国連の宇宙空間研究委員会（COSPAR）はアジア太平洋宇宙協力機構（APSCO）と協議を行い、秋頃にMOUを締結する。
